How do I know if I have hooded eyes?
Look straight ahead in a mirror: if your crease exists but disappears under a soft fold of skin — so eyeshadow on your lid vanishes when your eyes are open — you have hooded eyes. It's one of the most common shapes and changes where every product should go.
What's the difference between hooded eyes and monolids?
Monolids have no crease at all — one smooth lid plane. Hooded eyes have a crease, but a fold of skin rests over it. The makeup strategy differs: gradient shading flatters monolids, while hooded eyes need crease work placed above the natural fold.
